Do I have to buy a convention badge and event ticket?
No. We deliberately made it so all you must pay for is your event ticket!
Can I have friends or family attend to watch? If so, how much would it cost them?
Absolutely they can attend, we just ask that they do not disturb other participants models. It will cost them a grand total of $0.00!
Are we allowed to drink alcohol at the event?
Yes.Alcohol will be available for purchase through the venue. Devil and the Deep is a proud sponsor of Warzone Houston.
Is the schedule set in stone?
The schedule is dictated by the tournament organizer of each event, please refer to them for the most up to date information regarding their events.
I have questions about proxy and conversions with my models, how do I address this?
Easy. Find us on Facebook and post there! You can also use the contact info WarZoneHouston@gmail.com. We are all about conversions and custom work. However, we like to stick to What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) rule. If you model has a plasma gun, then equip it with a plasma gun. A Las Gun painted to look like it has plasma energy does not count, as an example.
Considering we are not currently sponsored by Games Workshop, then you are free to use 3rd party conversion bits, miniatures, paints, bases, etc., sticking to the WYSIWYG rule. If you think it is questionable (likely you already do, or you wouldn’t be thinking about it right now), then simply post on Facebook (not messenger) or email to us!
When are army list due?
Events will expect lists due to by September 11th, 2021.
What is the cutoff for FAQs, New Armies, New Rules, Errata, etc?
This is currently To Be Determined, we’re awaiting additional information from the tournament organizers. This will be updated as soon as possible!
What kind of prize support will be available?
We currently do not have a list of prize support. Years past has been trophies, medals, product support (average $5,000 worth), freebies, door prizes, etc. We will update in the coming weeks what the trophies and prizes are.
